Console games! We talk about them! We question if there truly is a difference in experience between PC and console. Also, games we’ve been playing, and the debut of a new segment!
The first 2 and last 2 quiz questions were total softballs, come on people.
Have any of you tried Civ Revolution? Chris, I have that same kind of feeling about console games.
Good discussion about console games. I think Chris hits upon the only element I don’t like about the GC commuity, that gut reaction that all console things must be bad. I’ve never had that feeling. I grew up playing both PC and console games and loved both. Sega Genesis was my most prized possession, but I’d often slip into the other room to play some Keen 4 with this clunky black joystick.
In the past I’ve felt frustrated with how much you guys have bashed consoles. I’ve had some fantastic console experiences on a lot of platforms. Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is probably among my top 20 games of all time. It’s a perfect control scheme for the series. Likewise, Super Mario Galaxy was a blast on it. I think the console has tons of great games to offer if you can get past your prejudices.
(That being said I’m still never buying a 360.)
I like Keenan’s new segment, but come on man, you other guys dropped the bal. I’m not that much of a gamer and I knew them all. How can you not know the Morrowind bit? It’s like the first line you hear when you step into Morrowind.
