I agree that besides the adventure games, episodic content hasn’t really been worth the ‘pennies’ that they cost. But as a business model, they are more profitable.
On the topic of time and quality for game releases. It’s most definitely preferred that a game be released in what the developers see as complete, however I would also like them to maybe release a screen or concept drawing now and then to keep me teased on it.
Icewind Dale 2 was actually based on the D&D3 ruleset, so even if you had experience with AD&D2 you’d be a bit lost.
Also, everybody sounds much better than usual. Er, well, except Keenan.
Fallout: New Vegas is supposedly a stand alone game, and I think the count of original Fallout people working on it is up to 4 or 5 now, I think.
